Mr. Joe's Chicken Soup

This is the "throw it all in a pot and let it cook" kind of dish. Warm and yummy with a variety of flavors, it's the best chicken soup recipe out there!

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 1 bag frozen Seasoned Blend
  • 1 bag frozen diced onions
  • 1 can whole kernel corn drained
  • 1 can French cut green beans drained
  • 3 cans tomato sauce
  • 1 can diced tomatoes 15 oz
  • 1 can Rotel tomatoes
  • 5-6 baking potatoes diced
  • 5 carrots sliced
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp pepper
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp chives
  • 1 tbsp basil
  • 4 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • hot sauce to taste

Instructions

  • Submerge chicken in 20 ounces of water. Cover with seasoned blend and onions.
  • Cook for 2 hours until tender. After it cools, de-bone using the parts of the chicken you like and shred.
  • Return to pot with remaining water from cooking the chicken.
  • Add rest of ingredients.
  • Cook for an hour to an hour and a half until potatoes and carrots are tender.
  • Top with favorite toppings such as tortilla strips, avocado, sour cream, salsa or tortilla chips.
